Welcome to our blog. We will try to keep you as updated as possible on the boys with their crazy schedules and activites. They have quite the social calendar.
What do you get when you combine cool holiday crafts, friends and cupcakes? One happy Owens family at the Treehouse Winter Festival. Bennett got his very own cupcake and you can tell from his smile that it is probably the best day of his life.
Here are their school pictures and I am always amazed when the photographer is able to capture them loving each other, hugging or holding hands. My pictures always look like they are in a wrestling match!
Charlie said "Mommy, where's the choo-choo on my sweater?" I guess I've been dressing them alike for so long they think its the norm.
We all enjoyed the fair last night. Charlie and Bennett loved riding in the cars. A little ice cream and funnel cake capped off a great night. Charlie was a little disappointed as he wasn't tall enough to ride his favorite thing...bumper cars...maybe next year!
We invited 20 kids and almost all 20 came so it's a good thing we decided to have the party at The Little Gym this year. Everyone had a ball and the coaches really did well entertaining the kids. Charlie had a race car cake and it was really good. Now that Bennett is walking, he was able to play in the gym and eat cake. Aunt Natalie and Aunt Ashley helped make sure he didn't get run over by the big kids. I can't believe I have a 3 year old!
Charlie and Bennett were very big boys today and went to the dentist. Luckliy Grammy was here to help out. There were lots of tears and screams but afterwards they got prizes so they were OK. Here are the before pictures. I couldn't get any pictures in the exam rooms because I was too busy holding them down :)
Again this year we went to the Marietta 4th of July parade. It was hot but we stayed until the end. Charlie was only interested in fire trucks and police cars and Bennett was only interested in the spray bottle of water I brought. There was a giant procession of antebellum dresses - not sure why, but thought I'd share.
It's June and summer is officially here. Atlanta has seen a few 100 degree days. The boys have water play days at daycare which they love. Now that Charlie has had swim lessons, he enjoys going in the big pool but only if Daddy is holding him. Bennett will dive-in no matter what. He has NO fear of water.
We loaded up the minivan and headed north. A stop in Charlotte then on to Mimi and Papa's house in Pennsylvania. Also a trip to Baltimore. Lots of fun and lots of driving.
The highlight was Bennett's first haircut! He did really well sitting on Papa's lap. He looks 5 now but so handsome. Also, Charlie went to 2 baseball games - the local Harrisburg Senators and the Baltimore Orioles. He got his first signed baseball, bubble gum and a giant foam finger - what else is there?!
I can't believe my little guy is One! He had a great party with the theme of balls since that is his favorite thing. Grandma Vicki and Pop Pop got him a huge inflatable castle with lots of balls. The kids had so much fun. They would have slept in it if we let them.
No hair cut yet, I'm not ready. I am trying to hold onto "baby" as much as possible.
